Mr. Vinson brings a wealth of domestic and international with
three decades of senior level management and entrepreneurial experience.
His current client work takes him frequently to both Asia and Europe. Mr.
Vinson was previously a Managing Director with Cherokee Investment Services.
In this capacity, he managed and implemented Cherokee’s international
expansion program in the United Kingdom and Western Europe securing environmentally
impaired properties for future remediation and development.
Prior to his work with Cherokee, Mr. Vinson served as the Executive Vice
President
and Senior Managing Director at the Mills Corporation, a leading developer
and operator of superregional retail and entertainment venues. During his
tenure, he managed and implemented the company’s international development
activities, including award winning Xanadu in Madrid as well as the Mercati
Generali project in Rome, Italy.
Mr. Vinson began his career as an associate in the law firm of Melnicove, Kaufman & Weiner. He continued his real estate career as an entrepreneur forming his own development firm purchasing, building and selling commercial and retail properties. Later, he joined The Equity Group and became a Vice President of Equity Marketing Services.
Mr. Vinson holds a BA from the University of Virginia and earned his JD
from the Hofstra University School of Law. He has served on the Board of
Directors of the White House Welfare to Work Initiative and chaired the national
Environmental Leadership Council to promote environmental matters that impact
the corporate business community. His extensive political experience ranges
from the White House to state and local government in the United States and
Europe. His hobbies include fresh and saltwater fishing, sporting clay shooting,
and sports cars.
